As Edgemont’s teachers continue to ensure that students develop skills that are less reliant on technology while expanding meaningful hands-on learning opportunities, the Edgemont School Foundation (ESF) is proud to support their efforts through new grants for 4th through 6th grade classrooms at Seely Place and Greenville. These grants will provide interactive learning tools that encourage communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and opportunities for students to put pencil to paper—or, in this case, markers to whiteboards!
ESF has approved grants for rolling whiteboards and tabletop whiteboards in 4th through 6th grade classrooms at both elementary schools. These versatile tools will encourage students to get out of their seats, work together to solve problems, share ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions with their classmates. By making student thinking more visible and creating opportunities for active participation, the whiteboards will help foster a more interactive and engaging classroom environment.
After all, learning is both a collaborative and social experience. These grants reflect ESF’s continued commitment to supporting innovative teaching practices that strengthen student engagement, encourage face-to-face interaction, and create opportunities for students to learn from one another.
