Are you and your classmates looking to return to one of the Edgemont Schools during your reunion or considering making a gift in honor of your reunion celebration? If so the Edgemont School Foundation is excited to work with your reunion committee as you plan your return to campus.
With past reunion committees the School Foundation has coordinated campus tours led by the building principals and knowledgeable Foundation volunteers to show your group everything that has changed (and not changed) about campus since you graduated from Edgemont. Tours can be customized based on the interests and mobility of the reunion group.
A popular option after a campus tour has been for the reunion committee to plan a luncheon or another gathering on campus. Due to district policy only approved community groups can reserve district space. However, the Foundation is happy to work with your reunion committee to reserve space, such as the cafeteria or a classroom, on the committee’s behalf for you to host a luncheon or another on campus event. If you are interested in hosting a luncheon the Foundation can even suggest to you local restaurants and caterers who can provide everything you need.
Additionally the Foundation is eager to work with reunion committees on coordinating a class gift to the Edgemont School Foundation. In the past some committees have factored a group donation into the reunion ticket price, while other reunion committees have encouraged classmates to donate individually. Another popular option has been for the reunion committee to purchase an Alumni Walkway brick commemorating the reunion, a lost classmate or a beloved faculty member. Some reunion committees have even chosen to donate any remaining reunion funds to the Foundation, finding it easier then returning the left over money to each attendee all the while knowing they are “paying it forward” to future generations of Edgemont students. The Foundation is able to walk you through all the donation options to find the best fit for your reunion committee.
We also may be able to assist you as you attempt to locate fellow classmates. The Edgemont School Foundation maintains an alumni database which gives us the ability to share class contact information with the reunion committee or contact your classmates directly with announcements on behalf of the reunion committee.
